Canines providing emotional support in and around the Lehigh Valley
We are a group of volunteers whose primary objective is to provide comfort and emotional support by sharing our personal dogs with people in nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, libraries, schools, colleges, airports, other institutions and the general public. Each of our volunteers has trained their dog, had their dog evaluated and then registered and insured with Alliance of Therapy Dogs in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Our dogs help increase emotional well-being, promote healing, and improve the quality of life. Visits from our dogs stimulate conversations and memories for the people we visit. We also participate in public relation activities in order to promote our purpose, improve awareness, and increase participation in this rewarding work. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization.
